Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and City Tour

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Fiston Tours driver-guide. Depending on your arrival time, embark on a guided Kigali City Tour, visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local craft markets, and art galleries. The city combines modern elegance with deep history, making it the perfect introduction to Rwanda. In the evening, enjoy dinner and rest at your hotel in Kigali.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park – Scenic Drive through Rwanda’s Hills

After breakfast, begin your journey to Nyungwe National Park, one of Africa’s oldest and most biodiverse rainforests. The drive takes you through Rwanda’s lush tea plantations, rolling hills, and beautiful countryside. Along the way, you will stop at the King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza and the Ethnographic Museum in Huye to learn about Rwanda’s history and traditions. Arrive in Nyungwe in the evening and settle into your lodge surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest. Overnight stay near Nyungwe National Park.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest

Rise early for your chimpanzee trekking adventure in Nyungwe Forest. After a briefing from park rangers, set off into the rainforest in search of chimpanzees. The trek takes you through dense forest, alive with birdsong and the calls of other primates. Once the chimps are located, spend time observing their lively behavior as they swing through the trees and interact with each other. The experience is thrilling and immersive, giving you a rare glimpse into the lives of our closest relatives. Day 4: Cultural Experience and Transfer to Lake Kivu

After breakfast, you will visit a nearby cultural village to experience Rwanda’s traditions, music, and dance. Later, drive north to Lake Kivu, Rwanda’s most scenic lake, known for its tranquil waters, sandy beaches, and stunning mountain views. Day 5: Lake Kivu Adventure and Return to Kigali

Spend the morning enjoying the peaceful beauty of Lake Kivu. Activities may include a boat ride to explore islands, swimming in the safe waters, or simply relaxing on the beach. After lunch, begin your return journey to Kigali. Depending on your flight time, you may enjoy some last-minute shopping or a short visit in Kigali before being dropped off at Kigali International Airport for your departure.
